The Santa Monica Planning Commission approved four tenant-participating conversions of apartments to condominiums Monday.

The commission voted to permit conversions of 21 units at 922 14th St., 21 units at 832 Euclid St., 10 units at 2516-18 Virginia Ave. and 5 units at 722 Copeland Court.

The commission now has allowed 19 conversion applications, which also need City Council approval. The conversion law, passed last year, allows landlords to sell their apartments to tenants while still renting to those who do not want to buy.
