Detroit Revives Plans for Aerial Tramway to Ontario

DETROIT —
Officials have revived the idea of building an aerial tramway across the Detroit River to Windsor, Ontario.
The Detroit Downtown Development Authority board on Wednesday approved spending $35,000 to study the feasibility of a tramway, first proposed in the 1960s. The tramway would cross the 1.5-mile-wide river between two 160-foot towers.
