The Nation : Acid Leak Injures Seven
An undetermined amount of nitrosylsulfuric acid leaked from a trailer in a truck depot near Parkersburg, W.Va., injuring at least seven people and forcing crews wearing protective gear and breathing apparatus to evacuate 400 to 500 people living within half a mile of the depot, Wood County officials said. The acid can burn skin and eyes and may be harmful if inhaled. The trailer was thought to be owned by Du Pont Corp.
