Carson
A former Palm Springs official has been appointed Carson personnel director.
Charles E. Bauman, 37, this week assumed responsibilities for overseeing matters that affect Carson’s estimated 300 employees. As personnel director, Bauman, now a Torrance resident, will also oversee the Carson Job Clearinghouse, a city agency that helps residents find jobs in the private sector. His salary is to be $45,600 a year.
Bauman, personnel director for six years in Palm Springs and for three years in Yuma, Ariz., replaces Karon Moore, who left the city in July to pursue other interests.
