A former Pomona College assistant treasurer has pleaded guilty to embezzlement in Los Angeles Superior Court. Richard Hasse, 31, is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 12 for embezzling $46,000 from the college over a two-year period. Hasse surrendered to authorities in September after repaying the money to the college. Monte Fligsten, an investigator with the Los Angeles County district attorney’s special investigations bureau, said Hasse could receive a prison term of up to four years or probation.
