The United Way has produced a brochure about the deadly disease AIDS for distribution to the public. The brochure, “What Everybody Needs to Know About AIDS,” describes how individuals can safeguard themselves against the disease and how to identify early warning signs of acquired immune deficiency syndrome, United Way spokesman David Gurzenshi said. The brochure, prepared after consultation with health organizations involved in AIDS research, is available at Los Angeles County public libraries, at schools or by writing to United Way at 621 S. Virgil Ave., Los Angeles 90005, Gurzenshi said.
