Cambodian President Reelected Party Chief
The Cambodian Communist Party on Wednesday reelected President Heng Samrin as its leader, the official SPK news agency reported.
It said in a report monitored here that a party congress at the end of a four-day session also reelected all Politburo and Central Committee members but increased the membership in both bodies.
The ruling Politburo was expanded from seven to nine members, while the Central Committee was increased by about one-third to 31 members. Premier and Foreign Minister Hun Sen was elected to both bodies.
