Low Water Level Shuts Down Nuclear Reactor

DELTA, Pa. —
Philadelphia Electric Co. declared an “unusual event” Thursday at the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station after its Unit 2 reactor shut down automatically because of a low water level. No radiation was released and there were no injuries, the utility said.
