Redondo Beach : Prosecutor’s Pay Raised
At the request of City Atty. Gordon Phillips, the City Council on Tuesday granted Deputy City Prosecutor Jeff Finnigan a 63% hourly wage increase from $40 to $65. Phillips said the hourly wage is still well below the average rate for private attorneys in the South Bay, which he said is between $100 and $125. Finnigan is one of several attorneys the city hires at an hourly rate to prosecute misdemeanor cases.
