West Hollywood : Rent Adjustments Filings

The city’s rent control administration is accepting applications for rent adjustments from landlords and tenants. Landlords must pay a $25 fee plus $3 per unit to apply for a rent increase. The filing fee for a tenant to request a rent decrease is $10.
Rent reduction applications may be filed by tenants whose landlords:
- Reduce or cancel housing services.
- Fail to maintain appliances, carpets, drapes and paint, if these are provided.
- Charge rents in excess of those allowed under the city’s rent rollback or under the April 30, 1984, rent plus a 1985 increase of 3%
