A 16-year-old girl sentenced to three years in state prison for attacking her eighth-grade teacher was released on $10,000 bond in Pine Bluff, Ark., pending an appeal. Tina Walker was convicted Oct. 9 after being tried as an adult under an Arkansas law that makes it a felony for a student to assault a teacher. Her attorney, Wilbur Bentley, who took the case after Walker’s conviction, said the law is unconstitutional.
