Net Earnings Rise for PDA Engineering

PDA Engineering of Santa Ana reported net earnings of $458,000 for the first quarter of its 1986 fiscal year, up 144% from the $188,000 reported a year earlier. Total revenues of $3.5 million for the period ended Sept. 30 were up 2% from $3.47 million.

The company’s Software Products division accounted for 60% of PDA’s first-quarter revenue, compared with 40% a year earlier. The company’s software system is licensed worldwide and is used by mechanical engineers to design and develop products. PDA, established in 1972, designs, develops and markets software for mechanical computer-aided engineering applications and provides advanced mechanical engineering services. The company had its initial public offering of common stock in January 1985.
