Conoco and Sun will pay more for crude oil.

Conoco said it raised the price it will pay for West Texas Intermediate crude by 75 cents a barrel to $28. Sun said it raised its posted price by 50 cents a barrel to $28.50. Oil prices have tightened recently, since heating oil and fuel supplies are unusually low. Crude oil for December delivery closed at $30.22 a barrel, up 5 cents, on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
