Former Olympian Mark Fusco has been suspended by the Hartford Whalers for refusing to report to the team’s American Hockey League affiliate at Binghamton, N.Y. Fusco, a 24-year-old defenseman, suffered a concussion in an exhibition game with the New Jersey Devils Oct. 2, and after two weeks of inactivity was asked to work out with the Binghamton Whalers.
