Council Backs Request to Keep Tax Deductions
TORRANCE —
The City Council has sent a resolution supporting Senate Joint Resolution 30 by state Sen. David A. Roberti (D-Los Angeles) asking the President and the Congress to retain the deductibility of state and local taxes in any tax-reform law.
A key feature of President Reagan’s tax reform proposal would eliminate state and local taxes as federal tax deductions.
