British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher assured Northern Ireland Protestant leaders that British sovereignty over the province will not lessen as a result of talks with Dublin on greater cooperation relating to Ulster. Thatcher and Tom King, secretary of state fro the province, made the assurances in a meeting with the Rev. Ian Paisley, leader of the Official Unionist party, and James Molyneaux, head of the Democratic Unionist Party.
