Indian guru Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh has agreed to plead guilty to federal charges of arranging sham marriages that allowed foreigners to remain in the United States, the U.S. attorney's office said today.

Debbie Lindsey, a secretary in the U.S. attorney's office in Portland, said the 53-year-old guru would plead guilty to all charges in an appearance in federal court later today. Rajneesh had pleaded innocent to 32 counts of arranging sham marriages, one count of conspiring to arrange fake marriages and two counts of lying to federal authorities about his intent to remain in the United States.
