Falklands War Game Banned in Some British Shops
Some British shops have banned a computer game based on the Falklands War with Argentina because it allows either side to win, the manufacturers said Wednesday.
A spokesman for Personal Software Services said the stores feared protests over the game that has been described by one person as a slur on the reputation of the British army.
The aim of the game, which retails at $11, is to land British forces on the Falklands by knocking out Argentine forces on the beaches.
In reality, British forces defeated the Argentines in June, 1982, to end a two-month Argentine occupation of the disputed South Atlantic islands.
