HOLIDAY HUNGER

Share

I thought world hunger had ended months ago (“A Year of Giving--and Giving,” Nov. 17 and “Hands Across America: Can Ken Kragen Make It Work?,” Nov. 24, both by Dennis McDougal).

Imagine my surprise to find that the world’s problems could not be cured in a day. It would appear that the true purpose of Live Aid was to feed the world bureaucracy, and to deliver a message for the holidays--it is easier to receive than it is to give.
