Why are people so quick to point out the faults of others?

Every week I see mistakes in The Times. Little mistakes. Big deal! Everyone makes mistakes.

Obviously, some people don’t think so, because every time I read Calendar there is at least one letter about a mistake in one article or another.

If people spent as much time finding and correcting their own faults, as they do finding the faults of The Times, this country would probably be perfect.
