Retirement Housing

I am a senior citizen and was interested in “Elderly May Prefer Condo Houses” (Nov.10). My husband and I live in a nice home with yard and pool, but in a few years we would like to move to a condo, where we do not have the upkeep outdoors.

We are interested in something similar to Leisure World, a gated community for people 55 years and older, with a lot of activities, so we can have our social life close to home and have people your own age right there.

Our children live in San Fernando Valley and Valencia. I have never seen anything in the Real Estate section in that area for elderly people. I hope in the near future to read about the grand opening of “a gated community for people 55 or older” or at least plans for one, in Valencia, Canyon Country or Simi Valley.
