The Supreme Court denied without comment a request from a defense lawyer in the McMartin Pre-School child molestation case to have defendant Peggy Ann Buckey released from jail. Dean R. Gits, the defense attorney, had claimed that Buckey’s “right to a continuous preliminary hearing” was denied when Municipal Judge Aviva K. Bobb took off Sept. 16 to celebrate Rosh Hashanah.
