Cal State Acquires Science Machine
LOS ANGELES —
A superconducting nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer valued at $235,000 has been acquired by California State University, Los Angeles. The equipment will be used by the department of chemistry and biochemistry to conduct more extensive chemical research and to train research students.
Grants for the equipment were received from the Minority Biomedical Research Support Program of the National Institute of Health, the Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation, the H. M. Keck Foundation and the National Science Foundation.
