Second Launching Site for Shuttle Dedicated

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. —
A refurbished Apollo launching pad was dedicated Friday as a second launching site for the space shuttle.
More than 300 NASA and contractor personnel marked the dedication of Launch Complex 39B, about two miles northwest of 39A, another renovated Apollo pad that has served as the launching point for all 23 shuttle flights.
