San Diego Sales Decline in Fall Housing Trend

New home sales in San Diego County declined to 931 units in October from 1,127 units in September, according to the latest edition of Insites, a monthly survey of new residential construction in the county.

The decline was selective, with single-family home sales increasing from 567 in September to 575 in October, while condominium sales dropped from 560 to 356.

“A fall downturn in sales is normal in the marketplace,” according to Mervyn L. Morris, senior vice president and county manager of Founders Title Co. The survey is a product of the Goodkin Group under the sponsorship of Founders Title.
