Remembering

To Carol Cherman (Letters, Dec. 8): Yes, I remember! Hard candy was a penny and in a jar, crackers loose in a barrel. Jordan and Willys-Knight automobiles; girls did not have phone numbers--it was, “Mabel, would you ring the Strandberg’s please.” A “mugger” was a guy who missed and kissed her nose, and we were so dumb we purposely walked down dark streets at night so we could hold hands. Honey Chile, you ain’t old enough to be my granddaughter.
