Polish Police Detain 3 Activists

WARSAW —
Three prominent opposition activists were detained by police in Warsaw today after their apartments were searched, family members and associates said.
The activists, Henryk Wujec, Jacek Szymanderski and Anatol Lawina, were members of a committee of former political detainees that initiated a nationwide “Political Prisoners Week” last month to press demands for release of all political prisoners.
