Santa Ana : Saddleback High Junior Vies for State Board Seat

Share

A Saddleback High School junior is in the running for the student representative seat on the state Board of Education.

Mike Enomoto, 16, will compete with five other semi-finalists, who were selected among 175 applicants earlier this month. The selection was made at the 1985 California School Board Assn. convention in San Francisco, where Enomoto made a speech to the student delegates.

The six students will be pared to three after interviews to be conducted in January by board members in Sacramento, according to Santa Ana Unified School District spokeswoman Diane Thomas, and the final decision will be made after interviews with the governor.
