Union Will Vote on Pact to End Meat Plant Strike

AUSTIN, Minn. —
Union workers striking Geo. A. Hormel & Co.’s flagship meat plant begin voting today on a proposal to end their four-month walkout, and the company said it will abandon attempts at a mediated settlement if the offer is rejected.
