Guerrilla Bomb Rocks Tel Aviv
From Reuters
TEL AVIV —
A guerrilla bomb went off today opposite the Tel Aviv City Hall in an explosion that state television said was the first in several years in the center of Israel’s largest metropolitan area.
Israeli police said a woman was taken to the hospital in shock after the sidewalk blast, which shattered the windows of a fast-food restaurant across the main square from the municipal building. Police closed the busy street for 40 minutes, and television news reports said they detained several Arabs working in the area.
