No Peril Seen in Sunken Ammonia-Filled Barge

NEW ORLEANS —
The Coast Guard worked early Thursday to raise a barge loaded with liquid ammonia that sank near shore in the Mississippi River, but the vessel’s chemical cargo posed no danger, authorities said. The barge sank after springing a leak Sunday.
