Norwalk : Apartment Zoning OKd
The City Council has approved a zone change permitting Lincoln Property Co. to build a 192-unit apartment complex at the intersection of Civic Center Drive and Bloomfield Avenue.
The one- and two-bedroom apartments will rent for between $650 and $800 a month, city officials said. The $16-million development will be on 8.7 acres formerly zoned for light manufacturing. Voting in favor of the zone change at a special December meeting were Mayor Marcial Rodriguez and council members Lou Banas and Peg Nelson. Members Bob White and Cecil Green voted against it.
