Gull Causes Plane Damage

DUBLIN, Ireland — One seagull caused nearly $1.25 million in damage to an Aer Lingus Boeing 737 last month when the bird was sucked into one of its two engines, an Aer Lingus spokesman said Friday. No one was injured in the accident.
