Holmes Leads Fullerton Women

Robin Holmes scored 22 points to lead the Cal State Fullerton women’s basketball team to a 52-51 Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. victory over UC Santa Barbara Monday in the UCSB Events Center.

Fullerton led by as many as 12 points in the second half. But Gaucho center Kira Anthofer put UCSB in front, 49-48, on two free throws with 3:07 left. The Titans (1-1, 2-9) came back to take the lead for good on two free throws by Holmes.

Anthofer had 16 points and 15 rebounds for the UCSB ((0-1, 4-8).

Fullerton plays San Diego State at 7:30 Friday night in Titan gym.
