Elmer Zahurak of Stowe, Ohio, and Gene Janecko of Huntington Beach took first place in the Lederle Two-Man Bobsled National Championship at Lake Placid, N.Y.

Zahurak and Janecko had a combined four-heat time of 4 minutes 6.46 seconds, the fastest this year at Lake Placid. The first two heats were held Saturday.

Finishing second were Brent Rushlaw of Saranac Lake, N.Y., and Brian Wolf of Fridley, Minn., with a combined time of 4:06.95.
