Share

Certron Corp. has received extensions, worth a minimum of $3.5 million in 1986, to existing contracts with Xerox Corp. and ITT Cannon to assemble a variety of electronic components and a line of ribbon cartridges for computer printers at its Mexicali, Mexico plant. During its 1985 fiscal year, Certron, which also manufactures and distributes audio recording tapes and floppy disks, carried out $8.6 million in work for Xerox. Terry Frisco, Certron’s treasurer, estimated that the one-year extension of the company’s contract with Xerox will generate a minimum of $3 million in revenue while the first year of Certron’s three-year contract with ITT Cannon will be worth at least $500,000.
