Net Income $1.6 Million for Emulex in 2nd Quarter

Emulex Corp., a Costa Mesa computer products maker, reported lower earnings and profits for the company’s second quarter and first six months, ended Dec. 31. Net income for the quarter was nearly $1.6 million, down 38% from $2.6 million. Revenues also slipped. For the quarter, the company had sales of $25.4 million, down 6.9% from $27.3 million for the same period in the previous year.

Earnings for the first six months totaled $3 million, down 40% from $5 million for the same period last year. Revenues for the first six months were $49.8 million, down 3.1% from $51.4 million.
