THE WHALE’S TALE

Charlotte Cornelius (visiting from Montana) possibly is not familiar with some of our local whale species, many of whom do not migrate to Montana (Calendar Letters, Jan. 5).

The whale in the picture Greatus Pacificus is actually a discovery of those two noted whale cosmetic surgeons, Drs. J. Copenhaver and M. Oldman. They have succeeded in not only breeding a “whale of a great value,” but also in creating a movie-land tradition, one that can be photographed from any angle.

To quote noted whale fan Billy Crystal, “It is better to look good than to feel good!”
