Two San Francisco State University students who admitted stealing $473,000 worth of art work from the Museum of Modern Art have been placed on two years’ probation. Aaron Schock, 19, of San Francisco, and Mark Dienstag, 18, of Suisun City, were ordered to complete 200 hours of community service and pay $1,550 to repair damage to locks and doors they forced to gain entry to the fourth-floor galleries. San Francisco Municipal Court records show that the two crashed a wedding party at the museum last July and walked out with the art. An anonymous phone tip to the San Francisco Chronicle led police to the stolen works.
