Wall of Snow Kills 13 on Japan Coast

TOKYO — A wall of snow roared down a hillside onto the remote village of Nou on the Sea of Japan coast, destroying 11 houses and killing 13 people in the country’s worst avalanche in nearly 30 years, police said today.
