Spaniard Gets Victory in Cross-Country Race

Spain’s Constantino Esparcia won the 31st International cross country race of San Sebastian Sunday, ahead of Ethiopia’s Wodajo Bulti. Esparcia’s time for the 10-kilometer (6.2-mile) race at Lasarte circuit was 30 minutes 28 seconds. Bulti was second in 30:29 followed by England’s Kevin Foster in 30:36.

The race for women, run over 3.6 kilometers (2.2 miles), was won by Jane Furniss-Shields of England in 12:06, followed by Carmen Valero of Spain in 12:16 and Hassania Damari of Morocco in 12:18.
