Fresh from a reorganization and cost-cutting, Wavetek reported a 207.5% increase in first-quarter earnings despite a 10% drop in sales. Earnings jumped to $741,000 for the first quarter ended Dec. 28, 1985, while sales dropped to $17.9 million.
