Hollywood Stars Face Upstart San Gabriel

The Hollywood Stars, defending Greater L. A. Soccer League champions, will meet surprising San Gabriel today in the feature event of the semipro division at Daniels Field in San Pedro. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.

The Stars (5-2) have lost two straight games after winning 12 straight over two seasons. Both losses came at the hands of the league co-leaders, San Pedro Yugoslavs and Inter-America. San Gabriel has won four straight matches since opening the season with two losses.

In another semipro game today, FAS (2-3-2) wil face Honduras (0-6). The program will open with Cajititlan (4-2) facing Alianza Guadalajara (4-2) at 10:30 a.m.
