Salvadoran guerrillas destroyed or damaged 10 buses and private vehicles operating in violation of a rebel traffic ban, civilian and military sources said. Bus dispatchers in eastern El Salvador reported traffic down to about 5% of normal. The ban is a guerrilla attempt to cripple the nation’s economy. Meanwhile, the army said that 12 guerrillas were killed and six were wounded in skirmishes around the country.
