Johnson, Lebow, Three Others Win Track Awards

Brooks Johnson, coach of the 1984 United States women’s Olympic track and field team, and Fred Lebow, race director of the New York City Marathon, have been named winners of the 1986 Jesse Abramson Award.

In addition to Johnson, women’s track coach at Stanford University, and Lebow, president of the New York Road Runners Club, the winners are Ed Levy, a track and field administrator and official; Marty Lewis, long-time head of the New York City Public Schools Athletic League track and field program, and Jim Dunaway.
