The SEC cleared the Turner-MGM merger filing.
Turner Broadcasting System’s prospectus of MGM/UA Entertainment Co.’s proxy statement for a March 3 special stockholders meeting became effective Friday. The parties said the $1.25-billion merger will be completed “promptly” after the meeting.
