Hotel Rising on Pacific Beach Site

A $4-million ocean-front hotel is rising at 610 Diamond St. in Pacific Beach and is scheduled for completion in June.

Called the Pacific Terrace Inn, it is being developed by La Jolla Inns of America on the former site of the Drifters North and Drifters South hotels.

Designed by Eric Davy & Associates and Stuart Resort, the three-story, 57,400-square-foot structure will have eight luxury suites and 35 units with kitchenettes besides the regular guest rooms, private balconies, a swimming pool, spa and easy access to the beach below. R. E. Hazard Jr. Inc. is the general contractor.
