Tampa Bay Buccaneer defensive end John Cannon...
Tampa Bay Buccaneer defensive end John Cannon was arrested after he allegedly plucked the badge from the shirt of a police officer at a restaurant and flung it to the ground.
The police were called to a Tampa, Fla., restaurant late Monday night because of complaints by nearly a dozen customers that Cannon, 25, was making rude and vulgar remarks.
On the street outside the restaurant, Cannon, who is 6-5 and weighs 260 pounds, used profanity when confronted, police said, then grabbed an officer’s badge and hit him before the officer struck Cannon on the leg with a flashlight. A scuffle ensued before Cannon was subdued.
