Monterey Park : Condo Rules Upgraded

The City Council has voted to raise standards for apartment and condominium projects, effective July 1. The new standards will reduce the height limit on buildings from 35 feet to 30 feet, call for upgraded landscaping and larger driveways and require buildings to be constructed farther from property lines. The council also has directed the Planning Commission to recommend an increased open space for apartment and condominium projects.
