Order ‘Banker’ Gets 5 Years

Ken Loff, described by federal prosecutors as the “banker” for The Order, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Walter McGovern to five years in prison for his role in the white supremacist group’s crime campaign.

Loff, who was present at The Order’s formation meeting in the fall of 1983, testified he agreed to hide $1.5 million in robbery proceeds on his Ione farm, although he never participated in any of the sect’s violent crimes. He said he buried the money in plastic pails, with the bulk of it buried near the rabbit hutches in his barn.
